Melissa Yue loves all things spooky (but not too spooky, please). When she’s not saving the neighborhood squirrels from her dog’s machinations, she can be found obsessively researching ghost stories, local lore, and cultural mythologies over bubble tea—half-sweet, and preferably with grass jelly instead of pearls.
Her work is informed by her experiences in the Chinese-Canadian diaspora community, her previous career in English as a Second Language education, and all her nerdy interests in Asian dramas, K-pop, webtoons, anime, and gaming. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a B.A. Applied Linguistics, and she views her writing, like many of her endeavors, as a way to connect back to her roots.
Jenny Birch is a storyteller at heart—in her roles as a mother, teacher (middle school history, French, ELA, and theater), youth theater director, and writer. Creating and sharing stories is the foundation of everything she does.
Born, adopted, and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, she is now raising her own three children—brought into her life through birth, adoption, and foster care—in the same city.
She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and PennWriters, and enjoys attending conferences with her friends and fellow creators. She is grateful and proud to be professionally represented by Matt Spencer at RMP Literary Agency.
Cherry Lou Sy is a writer and playwright originally from the Philippines currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She received her BA at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU and her MFA in playwriting from Brooklyn College, where she has been an adjunct lecturer in the English and American Studies departments. Cherry is also a teacher with PEN America’s DREAMing Out Loud. She has received fellowships and residencies from VONA, Tin House, and elsewhere. Love Can’t Feed You is her debut novel.
Erin Eldridge is a New Zealand author based in Christchurch, New Zealand—known for its recent series of earthquakes—began writing seriously six years ago. Since then, she has published eight books, each distinct in style and content, and has contributed a short story to a collection.
With a background in education, Erin has spent her career as a teacher, working in both mainstream education and Special Needs, particularly with deaf children. She has taught across New Zealand, as well as in Africa and Asia, with books about her experiences in both regions currently in progress. Specializing in English language and literature, Erin has always been passionate about reading, particularly history, and now finds great joy in writing books that she hopes will resonate with readers.
Sarah Adams, born and raised in Nashville, TN, has always cherished her family, warm days, and bringing smiles to others. From a young age, she dreamed of becoming a writer, but it wasn’t until her daughters’ nap times that she finally penned her first novel, leaving no more excuses to delay her passion.
A coffee enthusiast and British history aficionado, Sarah is also a proud mom of two daughters, married to her best friend, and embraces life as an indecisive introvert. She hopes to craft stories that not only make readers laugh and sometimes cry but always leave them feeling happier than when they began.
David Cameron Gikandi is an esoteric information curator and publisher, known for his talent in researching and transforming esoteric knowledge into practical, actionable concepts. His strength lies in his ability to connect complex ideas and present them in a clear and accessible manner. He served as the Creative Consultant for The Secret (the movie) and is the author of A Happy Pocket Full of Money. Like many, David considers himself a lifelong student, continually seeking to explore and understand the deeper aspects of life.
Born on March 6th, 1975, in Nakuru, Kenya, a city renowned for its rhinos and flamingos (he once had the unique experience of being chased by a rhino), David has always been drawn to life’s mysteries, as well as the joy of travel. He holds a BSc. in International Business from Jacksonville University in Florida, USA, and an MSc. in Information Technology from Griffith University in Queensland, Australia. Additionally, he is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer.
David is also an emerging filmmaker, currently learning film production, with hopes of creating insightful documentaries and films in the near future. Alongside his professional pursuits, he is an avid reader and passionate about helping others thrive.
Michael Ignatius is the author of Place of Pilgrimage: Fátima Experienced, a non-fiction exploration of the Fátima events through the lens of pilgrimage. He has also written the autobiographical thriller Near-Life Experienced, which chronicles a journey of faith, and the contemplative devotional Two As One: 50 Two-Day Reflections on the Road to Holiness. His latest work, Cargo of Shorts: 101 Short Stories for the Casual Reader, offers a captivating collection of short stories designed to engage the soul and spark reflection.
Born in Bolton, Connecticut, Michael Ignatius is a graduate of Boston College and holds a Master’s degree from Holy Apostles College and Seminary, where he also served as an adjunct professor of Religious Studies. With over thirty years of experience as a youth minister, teacher, coach, businessman, and religious education director, he has led and participated in numerous retreats and pilgrimages, including to Fátima, the Camino de Santiago, and Montserrat. His current work includes crafting literary pieces across various genres, drawing from his deep well of religious and life experiences.
