No. RMP Literary operates on a traditional commission basis, only earning when your book earns. Editorial or developmental services are optional and discussed transparently.

2. Do you accept unagented or first-time authors?

3. How long does the publishing process take?

Timelines vary, but traditional publishing typically takes 6–12 months from acquisition to release.

4. Can you help with film and TV adaptations?

Yes. We actively pitch select manuscripts to producers and executives when we identify strong adaptation potential.

5. Can I submit to RMP Literary if my manuscript isn’t finished yet?

You may reach out with a query, but for fiction, we generally prefer complete manuscripts.
For nonfiction, a strong proposal and sample chapters may be acceptable. If in doubt, feel free to email us for guidance.

6. Do I retain rights to my work when submitting?

Yes. Submitting your manuscript does not transfer any rights to RMP Literary. You maintain full ownership unless a formal Book Acquisition Agreement with a publisher is signed.

We prepare a professional submission package—including your query letter, synopsis, proposal, and sample chapters—then pitch directly to editors, publishers, and acquisition teams who align with your genre and readership. We also maintain relationships with industry contacts that increase your manuscript’s visibility.

11. What if I already self-published my book? Can I still submit?

Yes, we accept self-published authors, especially those with strong concepts, clean writing, or audience growth potential. We also evaluate revised editions or newly expanded versions for traditional publishing consideration.

12. How long does it take to hear back once my work is submitted to publishers?

Publisher response times can vary widely—from a few days, weeks to several months. During this period, we provide updates, follow-ups, and any communication received from editors.

Absolutely. We work with authors worldwide and have no geographical restrictions. Because submissions are digital, distance is never a barrier.

14. Can you help with book marketing?

While we are not a full-scale marketing agency, we do offer guidance on brand-building, positioning, and promotional strategies to help authors prepare for a successful release. We can also refer clients to trusted marketing partners when needed.
